Janelle Elyse Kihlstrom

The Mirror Queen

She burns like a sinner and floats like a witch.

If you waver for a second, there's her chance.

She's stuffed with asbestos and dusted with

pheromones.  She's read all your books and bugged

all your pillowcases.  She's the part of yourself

that it's your destiny to vanquish.  So it was written,

and so it must be done.  Besides, she's got your

princess turning blue, chained to the bathtub,

stuck like a porcupine with blood-fat syringes.

What you have to do, it can't be helped, although

it breaks your heart somehow to do it.  But there's

solid DNA.  She's rifling through your neckties.
